Paragon Apartments stands tall at nine stories and 30 meters high, marking the inaugural high-rise apartment tower erected in Christchurch following the 2011 earthquake. This development boasts exceptional quality, incorporating numerous pioneering features. It holds the distinction of being New Zealand's first base-isolated, low-damage design high-rise apartment building. Utilising a concrete shear wall base isolation structure, it sets a new standard in earthquake resilience and occupant security nationwide.
The tower is linked to a carpark building, offering fully secured independent double or tandem garages. Each apartment boasts a minimum of three bedrooms with ensuites, complemented by two balconies and a separate laundry facility. Providing added security and privacy, lifts open directly into individual private lobbies, eliminating shared foyers on the floors.
With meticulous attention to detail, soundproofing reaches the highest standards, while premium materials such as built-in oak joinery, stone, tile floors, and high-quality carpet distinguish it from other apartment developments in New Zealand. The inclusion of two double-storey penthouses atop the roof and two double-storey apartments on the ground floor with their own courtyard gardens elevates the offering even further.
